Quick DIY Copper Cleaning Hack

One of our favorite home accessories are our copper coasters we got from our friends at VB Copper. The best home accessories are ones that have meaning. The coasters depict an old map of New York City - we got these coasters as a housewarming present to ourselves when we moved into our first apartment in the West Village. 

However, over time they became a little tarnished, as you can see below.

So, I tried out a DIY home remedy that cleaned our coasters beautifully. The best part was that I only had to use TWO around-the-house products. 

Directions:

Take half a lemon and sprinkle salt on the exposed side. Scrub the copper with the lemon, squeezing the lemon as you go. Continue to add salt as it rubs off.

Once you're done, wipe down the copper with a damp paper towel & dry!

I was incredibly pleased with the results of this home remedy. And I didn't have to buy a single product.
