Yup. It’s now OFFICIALLY pumpkin spice season! Can you even believe it?
This weekend we posted in our SELF Weekender column about a healthy pumpkin spice smoothie. I mean, who doesn’t want all the yumminess of pumpkin without ALL of the calories?

Try whipping up this amazing smoothie from Vega!
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup honey
1 3-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
4 cups fresh orange juice
3 cups pear nectar
1 quart water
1 liter bourbon
2 lemons, thinly sliced
Ice- for serving
In a large saucepan, combine 1 quart water, the fresh lemon juice, honey, and ginger and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Strain into a large bowl and let cool. Add the orange juice, pear nectar, bourbon, and lemons to the lemon syrup. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices. Makes 8-12 servings
