A Playlist and Drink to Build a Dream On

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. No matter what you’re planning for this red-and-pink-and-chocolate-soaked holiday, just make sure you have the right tunes picked out and a cocktail in hand at all times!

Whether you’re having friends over to watch ‘When Harry Met Sally’ and get sneaky drunk on French 75’s (recipe from Esquire below) or your cooking a romantic meal for your significant other, it’s important to have a playlist that sets the perfect mood.

Spotify’s and Pandora’s radio features give you all of the bang for your buck if you want hours of music that will set the mood.

For a classy Valentine’s Day that will impress your friends OR your honey, go for the classics. Choose any of the following amazing old school tunes to start off your playlist, or heck – even download them all for a swinging night of music!

For your cocktail:

French 75

2 ounces London dry gin

1 teaspoon superfine sugar

1/2 ounce lemon juice

5 ounces Champagne or dry Prosecco

Shake well with ice in a chilled cocktail shaker, then strain into a glass half-full of cracked ice and top off with champagne.
