Thirsty Thursday is for MOCK-tails!

If you read our blog you know we’re huge Thursday enthusiasts because it marks the start of our weekend with a homemade cocktail! Making a drink or having a glass of wine at home saves money  – which we love just as much!

This week though, we want to spend a little time talking about the beauty of a ‘mocktail’ – a drink with no alcohol! It is nice to give your liver a break, as well as your wallet and waistline.. fixing a drink with no booze cuts back on what you’re spending and of course, calories.

But what struck me most about this Thursday’s theme of ‘Mocktails’ what how little I missed the alcohol! Sometimes I think we may order a drink at a bar or restaurant simply out of habit when it’s not even really what we’re craving. So try some of our recipes below the next time you go to fix yourself a drink or order at the bar! Your health and your savings will benefit!

Kissters’ Favorite ‘Mocktail’ Recipes:

Virgin Greyhound (what we’re drinking in our video)

3 Parts Sprite or Sprite Zero

1 Part Grapefruit Juice

Squeeze of Lime

Cranberry Refresher

2 Parts Unsweetened Cranberry Juice

2 Parts Ginger Ale

Arnold Palmer

2 Parts Iced Tea

2 Parts Lemonade

Spiced Apple Cider (Great for fall!)

Glass of apple juice or apple cider

Squeeze of lemon

Dash of cinnamon

Sparkling Lemonade

1 part Seltzer water

2 parts lemonade

1/2 packet of Splenda

Squeeze of 1/2 a lemon
