Sparkling Lemonade for less $$ and less calories!
San Pellegrino Limonata may just be one of my favorite drinks of all time. It is bubbly and refreshing, it is sweet with the right amount of tart, and it comes in a vibrantly colored can with irresistible foil at the top you get to peel off once you’re ready to sip!
Well, what if I told you there was a less expensive and even less sugary way to enjoy a sparkling lemon beverage like San Pelegrino’s?!
I was craving one the other day and came up with a Kisster version of this fancy drink on my own. Try this out and enjoy sipping on it all summer long!
- 1 pitcher
- 2 lemons
- 2 Tbs simple syrup
- 1 liter Club Soda (I make my own with a Soda Stream)
- 2 small single-serving packs of Crystal Light Lemonade mix
Make the simple syrup by first by putting 2 Tbs sugar into a coffee cup with a splash of water. Microwave on high for 25 seconds. Pour into pitcher.
Empty the single-serving Crystal Light packs into the pitcher and fill with club soda. Squeeze in the juice of 1 and ½ of the lemons. Slice the remaining half into thin slices and toss into pitcher along with ice.
Enjoy each sweet, bubbly, tart sip!
BONUS! Here’s a little bonus update we read in our July Real Simple just today!
They listed a “Lemon Soda Tom Collins” as an easy cocktail to throw together for a summer bbq. All you need is to add ¾ cup of gin for every 2 ½ cups of your Kisster sparkling lemonade you just made! Garnish with lemon slices and fresh basil.. YUM!
